Responsible Spending Still America's Priority

According to the USA Today/CNN/Gallup Poll taken Dec. 9-11 "Two thirds of respondents said the federal government should fund Hurricane Katrina relief efforts by cutting spending, as opposed to raising taxes or increasing the federal deficit. But finding major spending cuts has proved difficult in this Congress, which is stalled over a major plan to cut Medicaid and other programs for low-income Americans. (Related: Poll results)"
